RandoCartes — where am I?
This page is for when you need to know or transmit your location in a precise manner.

The information shown is your known position when you open the page. If you need to update it, just close the page and open it again.
Several different ways of describing your location are displayed:
Latitude/longitude in degrees (WGS84) — parts of a degree are shown as decimals. In this representation north is positive, south negative and east is positive, west negative.
Latitude/longitude in degrees, minutes and seconds (WGS84) — direction is shown after the value in degrees.
UTM — the Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system provides a location using a zone and then a position east and north.
Description — if a connection to the internet is available your position as an address will be shown. The exactitude of the results will vary according to your proximity to known objects.
Two buttons are available with each type of location:
Copy — copies the text of the location to the clipboard.
Speak — speaks your position out loud. The results depend on the text to speach software of your device. This button is not displayed for the description, nor is it displayed if your device does not provide text to speach software in the currently selected language.
